The R230 Automatic Voltage Regulator is transistor controlled and monitored, thereby providing excellence regulation regardless of load distortions. The voltage accuracy is +/- 0.5% in a stable state and at constant speed. With many features fitted as standard , R- Encapsulated in resin, R-series automatic voltage regulators(other than the R230) can be upgraded with modules for parallel operation (Current transformer, power factor adjustment and R726 voltage matching) and for 3 phase recognition.
Encapsulated in resin, R-series regulators have optimum resistance to throb and harsh atmospheric circumstances The Alternator with shunt excitation is self excited with an R230 Voltage regulator. The regulator monitors the exciter excitation current as a task of the alternator output voltage. Very effortless in design. The alternator with shunt excitation has no sustaining short-circuit capacity.
